"Gimme Five!" President Cheng Tao-Ming happily hit his open hands against the hands of each cyclist, greeting them all the best in their 9-day round-the-island cycling tour, the first activity to kick off CYUT's 30th anniversary celebration. On 7 July, a thirty-cyclist team gathered in front of the administration building for the kick-off ceremony. They geared up with high spirits and were ready to conquer a distance of more than 900 km in the coming nine days. CYUT Alumni Association Chairman Wang Chih-Meng and other committees came to cheer for the cyclists and generously sponsored their supplies.

This round-the-island cycling tour demonstrated CYUT's determination to support green and sustainability and collectively protect the beautiful island through sustainable actions. President Cheng led the cycling team in the company of Dean of Student Affairs Liaw Jiun-Jian and Dean of General Affairs Chang Hwa-Nan, wishing the school a new milestone towards prosperity and sustainability.
